On Saturday 2nd October 2021 at 7pm, Suleiman Suleiman will present Kabukimono II at the Over-Seas House in St James’s, London. 

Kabukimono II will feature the premiere performance of Kabuki on the Flower Path,  a play by Suleiman Suleiman. This theatrical presentation takes the audience on a journey through four seasons and four cities - Paris, London, Tokyo and Kyoto - in the search for  a more refined understanding of this magnificient artform that so fascinates the writer. On the way he encounters great artistic personalities from David Bowie to Yukio Mishima, Kansai Yamamoto and Lindsay Kemp, gaining new insight into how kabuki's exquisite beauty touched their souls and lives on in their work today. 

After the 30-minute seated performance in the Over-Seas Houses's Princess Alexandra Hall, there will be an interval for guests to enjoy drinks, either in the beautiful garden overlooking Green Park, or in the bar, before a Q&A about the art of kabuki.

English Garden Lounging will present ambient and electronic DJ soundscapes throughout the evening until 11pm.

Please arrive at 7pm for performance beginning at 7.30pm. We are unable to facilitate entry during the performance between 7.30-8pm.
